Recommendations on 3DS Games for a first time user.

When I buy a 3DSXL it will be my first 3DS Ive ever owned. My knowledge of it's library is somewhat lacking. So, if anyone would recommend me any game on the 3DS I would be happy

Kid Icarus Uprising, Mario Kart 7, and Super Mario 3D Land

New Super Mario Bros. 2 probably wouldn't be a bad choice, provided you download it.

I was actually thinking of NSMB2 Seems pretty fun with all that gold collecting.

It will make me feel like a KING

Also how does Ocarina of Time, Starfox64, and Dream drop distance play? they good?

Ocarina of time is definitely one you should get and KH3D

Kid Icarus Uprising is really fun and has online multiplayer. Solid game to get

New super Mario bros 2 is really no needed if you already played the one on ds or wii

True true. Ill start by buying Kid Icarus and KH3D and MK7 since i see a lot of people with it.

I have only owned 7 3DS games thus far. I will name them in order from favorite to least favorite, and whether I recommend them.

1) Kid Icarus: Uprising
2) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

Awesome
3) Super Mario 3D Land
4) Mario Kart 7

Decent
5) Star Fox 64 3D
6) Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition

Bad
7) Spider-Man: Edge of Time

I think after that I retired from spiderman games.

um....yea....basically what everyone else said so far. Seriously..what else can I possibly say? lol. the library is still fairly small. So all the best games have already been listed. That being said

I highly recommend MK7. Sonic Generations 3DS is pretty awesome as well. If you love zelda, OoT 3D is a no brainer.

Course, there are A LOT of games on the eShop if nothing else strikes your fancy, though I can't see that being the case.

i didnt like Sonic Generations on 3DS felt rushed and boring to me.

I very highly recommend Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked IF your a fan of SRPGs and if you missed out of the original DS release for it.

Final Fantasy: Theatrhythm if your into rhythm games. Think Elite Beat Agents X Final Fantasy

Also cant go wrong with Tetris Axis... its fucking tetris, everyone loves it!!

My advise though, If you wanna try a game out go to gamestop buy it used, then return it before a week is up and get a full refund. So glad I did that with sonic lol

That's what I heard. I heard it was basically "Sonic Rush 3" more than anything else (which was, in reality, Sonic Advance 7, if you include Sonic Colors DS, lol)

Nah, id consider that an insult. I still love sonic rush and play it occasionally. Generations tried to introduce too many new gimicks, like jumping between foreground/background, new 45 degree camera angle, and the 3D is just as bad as NSMB2 lol. But Sega's just learning how to develop for it so i knew I wouldnt write home about it. Give 'em about 3 years

I think starfox 3d had some of the best 3D in any 3ds game I think that game is amazing to play 3d also dead or alive is a great game also cave story 3d is a underrated game that is a must play and resident evil revelations is the only resident evil game that feels like well resident evil

Shinobi is also a great title. I believe it was originally going to be on DS but they moved it to 3ds. It is a pretty difficult game.
