Microsoft Exclusives

I think M$ gets a little too much flack for "not having any exclusives". This is a place to post some new and uplcoming exclusives and discuss them.

But seriously, if they just took some of the games they had on the Xbox and revived them, they'd set the scene aflame. Unfortunately, they grew fat and lazy out of licensing fees and it seems they're comfortable just being the 3rd party console, like Sony was before they were dethroned.


They also lost the support of most of the folks that made great games for their platform, such as Climax Entertainment, BioWare, Ensemble Studios and several others.

I'd prefer Conker but I'd take Banjo over nothing. There some hope though, Rare is rumored to be making an M rated next-gen game. Some speculate it might be Conker, I doubt it though.

Rare is trapped in the avatar sweatshop. Meanwhile, all Microsoft seems to bank their bet on is Halo 4.

Halo: Combat Evolved, despite being a shameless rip-off of Rendezvous with Rama, was good. Not great, but good. At the very least it had atmosphere and the name made sense (you look up, and you see the Halo). But they spread that butter a bit too thin afterwards.

Yeah... I wish Rare had some creative freedom, but hey Killer Instinct might come back. The trademark got renewed and a M$ owned site felt the need to announce it.

At the very least, Microsoft is rolling in money. So they could bring out the big guns when their new console drops.

It makes sense. The Xbox 360 is showing its age, so they would do better investing in a new console with more impressive content.

Dust: An Elysian Tail is one of the best games I've ever played period, and it's a 360 exclusive.

You can't have XBLA be you're Exclusive set though.

retail is what people care for, retail is all they want.

Microsoft can't get that the same games (the same 3-4 franchises) don't make the system gold, and timed exclusives don't.fucking.count.

Microsoft's dead on the inside anyway. let you're 360's go after the final "mega hit" is out, which Is Gears 4.

after that, its all about their next system.

Yes you can, downloadable games can be just as good as retail games and at the end of the day we care about games regardless if they're retail. XBLA has some really good exclusives and if a gamer dismisses them they are really missing out. Nobody here is talking about timed exclusives lol And Gears 4? Judgement? Yeah that'll probably be their last big hit. Look forward to State of decay, game looks great.

You're right some Downloadable games can be just as good if not better.

HOWEVER the point I made was the masses don't "focus" on the Downloadable's, they look at disk games majorly.

the "biggest" digital marketplace is in the mobile department like iOS and Android.

Consoles lack that field due to the fact you can't take them on the go, or aren't as cheap to consumers.

In otherwords: No, they don't count as major exclusives to the general public, it has to be on a disk.
