What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
Please Elaborate on this topic on reason why a fanboy would take time just to hate on a company.
Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
They don't understand themselves. If they were to stop, look at what they were doing, and ask themselves why they were doing it, they wouldn't be able to answer. It's sad, but that's how it is.
Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
Because they have grown men's systems that they stand beside and they back. Or something.

You got 3 f*cking systems and you still dont know what you want
Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
Fanboys who call other fanboys fanboys but in the end they themselves are fanboys..... wait huh? O_o
Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
Of course someone was gonna say that.ChaosLord121 wrote:Because they have grown men's systems that they stand beside and they back. Or something.
Honestly, I feel that the term "fanboy" has been corrupted. I consider myself an absolute Nintendo fanboy, but at the same time, I'm fully capable of viewing the competition from a fair viewpoint and can fully understand and appreciate other systems. Fanboy has gone from meaning quite literally what it says (a big fan of a particular thing) to meaning "an immature, biased, whiny, pathetic child who's elitist about their personal preference for some arbitrary reason."ImmaGamerGuy wrote:Fanboys who call other fanboys fanboys but in the end they themselves are fanboys..... wait huh? That is why the new term "Nintendo Fan" was made. Because "Nintendo Fanboys" is already corrupted.

There are some ppl out there that hate companies so much they buy their product and hit it with a broom or flush it down the toilet.
i honestly dont know whats wrong with them. it must be the fact that the company owns them so much they go insane

Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
Can we all please work hard to bring the OLD definition of "fanboy" back? (one who show a special interest in a certain company. not hateful. not oblivious to the company's weaknesses.)
Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
I agree. The term has corrupted so much that we fail to realize that the original, true definition of that word isn't what it seems.xwatchmanx wrote:Of course someone was gonna say that.ChaosLord121 wrote:Because they have grown men's systems that they stand beside and they back. Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
There is no way to uncorrupt a something as mainstream as the term fanboy
Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
It's just irritating, because if you say "I'm a fanboy of X," people instantly assume you mean the 'corrupted' definition of it, and if you say any alternative 'I'm a fan of X,' people assume you're just trying to hide the "obvious fact" that you're a corrupt definition of a fanboy.
Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
It is a real shame that the title has been given such a negative stigma. For a time, I was happy calling myself a Fanboy of Fallout, Sonic and Diablo franchises. I however, do not act like what that title now insinuates. Far from it.
I am merely passionate about the franchises. I care how they are developed. I will never defend something that is clearly wrong, but I also analyze things fairly and respectively. If something is terrible, I have no issue saying so and vice versa.
I am now petrified of even using the term "fanboy" for anything. We shouldn't have to feel like we are treading on thin ice just because certain people feel the need to lash out on any particular gaming media.

We need more people that can admit to being fans like you. Having a lot of people in youtube defending nintendo and then say they not fanboys it's total hypocrisy.
Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
We definitely need more fans like that. Start a revolt and get our title back. REBEL!!

Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
i dont see really how you support one company :/
Re: What does a fanboy want to achieve in hating a company?
It could be a matter of money and convenience. The reason I really hope the Wii U will hold mainstream multiplats is because I don't want to have to spend a ton of money on the Xbox 3 or PS4, as well as have that extra space taken on my shelf. With the exception of Halo and Gears of War, every system-exclusive game I love is a Nintendo exclusive, so I'd love to be able to just get 1 system and be covered (except for Halo and Gears, which can't be helped since they're Xbox exclusives).Nin10doUltra wrote:i dont see really how you support one company :/

Nothing wrong with that, as long as they don't go out of their way to bash other companies.Nin10doUltra wrote:i dont see really how you support one company :/
