Wii U Gamepad can display 3D

I know this is already put up as news on the main page of this website but I just wanna know what you guys think of it. Do you guys think it'll be just as good as the 3D's 3D or better?

Yeah true but maybe some games that support 3D w/o the color will also be able to go to the controller. That'd be pretty sweet.

That's pretty cool. I wish it could have been no glasses 3D instead of Stereoscopic. But it's still a neat feature!

If it needs glasses Shokio needs to update the main page. The news article says it is no glasses 3D

Assassins Creed 3 shows it in its options on the gamepad, theirs a video on youtube showing the options

they don't support a 3DS "3D" because that needs a physical depth slider to work.

and since 3DS isn't steroscopic, that should also be a clue.

Maybe they'll come out with some sort of peripheral in the future. Since the Wii U is essentially a big as DS it wouldn't be surprising to see them try and make it 3DS-esque.

wouldn't work, in order to make it ANY Way 3DS esc, you need a proper slider.
all the slider does is move the "inner" screen inward to produce a flawless 3D

Now, the gamepad doesn't have this, you need a complete redesign to support it, or Nintendo to reimburse users, and give them a Free 3D able pad.

no one wants to pay an additional 150 to play wii u at all.

It would surprise me if in the future handhelds and consoles by Nintendo could not share data and games. The 3DS has a similar OS structure as the Wii U, and with software updates they can make the 3DS games play on Wii U through some sort of emulation software.
