Think about it, what can this controller actually do to make your games better? Like there is a countless amount of possibilities! Like I don't expect smash bros. to do to much because even brawl didn't use motion controls. If it did I would think you'd see a basic summary of the match on the screen. EX: What level the CPU is, your life or percentage counter, a basic description of the stage (while your browsing through the selection obviously, that would be distracting during a match) and even your move pool list. You usually see that list in an instruction manual but what if you pause the match and on the tablet you can select your options and look at what the character can do. Like in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

One thing I want to know is, since you can switch the game to your gamepad, can you play a splitscreen game on the gamepad? Like say on black ops 2 for example, or maybe mario kart, does anyone know about this?
If it is possible, man you could have up to 4 people on the television, and 4 people to each gamepad, you could have a 12 player match without the need for LAN or online.
I go to a lot of LAN parties and man it gets real annoying when people bring in 20 or so Xbox's to have a call of duty/halo reach tournament, cables and shit running everywhere, then you have delays because not everyone has updated their system recently, then everyone's packed in like sardines because not everyone has a 50 foot ethernet cable and only one guy brought a switch, those that do have the super long cables cause lag, and its hard to find an outlet. I think the Wii U could cut down on that quite a bit, hell the tournaments are 2 on 2 anyway and you could do that on one Wii U right? With two gamepads I mean.

That would be EXTREMELY impractical, in my opinion. That said, I could easily see 6 player games occurring with 4 player split screen on the TV and an extra player on each gamepad.Sontae wrote:One thing I want to know is, since you can switch the game to your gamepad, can you play a splitscreen game on the gamepad? Anyway, How about 4 swords Wii U? 2 players splitting the screen, and 2 each getting a gamepad.

Don't forget, you could combine the 3DS with that.xwatchmanx wrote:That would be EXTREMELY impractical, in my opinion. Hehe yeah I guess 12 players would be kinda crazy, but I was just thinking of the most extreme possibility. 6 player games seem much more likely to happen, also 4 swords wii u? Yeaaaaa buddy, I'd be all over that.
Speaking of the 3DS I wonder if there will be an option to play DS games on the Wii U sort of like how you could play gameboy advance on the gamecube, they're both dual screen systems right? I think it could work

The fact that i I will be able to play video games in my bed and have a DS type experience on a home console
Re: What is your most Interesting idea about the wii U controller?
I live in a one-room apartment and my 37 inch HD is right in front of the bed. So it doesn't really matter to me, but it's still cool. It's also nice because my girlfriend or I can play one player games without disturbing the other if they're sleeping, doing homework, etc.gamingbeast4lifeson wrote:The fact that i I will be able to play video games in my bed and have a DS type experience on a home console

Imagine skyrim if you were to actually shout into the wii u gamepads microphone to use your powers.

I cant wait to see how they use the Gamepad with the next Zelda title. It is there that they will pull out all the cards and make a robust experience. They will think up some crazy awesome stuff.

Re: What is your most Interesting idea about the wii U controller?
I second the 6 to 12 player idea. Heck I don't get why a game like Brawl isn't an 8 player game already. I mean you can have four gamecube controllers plugged into the wii and four wiimotes hooked up to it. And judging by how you can see every character on the same screen and all, it would be a perfect 8 player game. That would have been so much chaotic and so much fun!
Though as for the gamepad, I think it would be cool to do what they have been doing with the DS. Use it for menus, stats, maps or other extra stuff that you just have to glance down to check.

I think it would be cool to see a game that connects the screen to the gamepad. similar to the ninja star throw thing but on a bigger, more complex level.
Re: What is your most Interesting idea about the wii U controller?
I just want it to allow you to switch weapons in games without going to the menu. Would be very useful in games like Zelda, and other adventure games.

I'm pretty sure at most there will be 4 players for SSB4 and the person with the gamepad will be a sort of "moderator" for the match.DomesticHausCat wrote:I second the 6 to 12 player idea.
