The September 13th Thread [OT]
Really guys, why is there no thread for September 13th? I mean it's only the biggest day for future Wii U owners (like myself). What should we expect on this magical day. The price and release date of this console will finally be announced. I'm going to go with Dec 2nd for $299.99 only because I want to keep my frustrations down "if" they [Nintendo of America] decide to launch beyond November 18th. Anyway, what else are you guys expecting on this day? Game prices? New trailers for announced/unannounced games? A look at it's online offerings? God, I can't wait.
4 more days guys.

Re: The September 13th Thread [OT]
This is what I would LIKE to hear:
System Price (Expected)
Launch Date (Expected)
a couple amazing unannounced titles for launch (HD collections perhaps?)
More information on the System's OS, Main Menu and launch features
Solid info on the Online system
and some eShop information at launch. Be them games or Apps.

Re: The September 13th Thread [OT]
I'm only expecting price, release date, some info about features/OS, and maybe a few new game announcements.
Nothing more, nothing less.

damn straight.
Re: The September 13th Thread [OT]
It would be wise for Nintendo to sneak in a nice big surprise announcement to end of the event. It would generate a lot of hype. I don't expect it, but if it happened that would make the announcement all the better.

So now, what did you guys think? I have to say, I was neither impressed nor disappointed. The price is alright and we know a definite launch date now. And we've got a few cool games coming. I still won't be buying a Wii U until the really good exclusives come, though.

I was somewhat impressed. Nintendo TVii looks pretty cool. It's nice to know Nintendo Land will be a pack-in. Monster Hunter, Bayonetta, and even Black Ops were great reveals.

Better question is what unit are you purchasing? Im getting the deluxe & a 1TB Ex. HDD
Re: The September 13th Thread [OT]
Definitely getting the deluxe version. So much more just for an additional $50.
Re: The September 13th Thread [OT]
Most likely I'm getting the deluxe edition.

Re: The September 13th Thread [OT]
I'm definitely getting the deluxe. Nintendo Land actually looks like a really solid game (especially Metroid Blast!), and only $50 more for a new retail game and 24gb extra internal storage is a hard deal to pass up.
Re: The September 13th Thread [OT]
If you're a gamer (in general) you'd have to be a freaking retard to get anything but the deluxe model. The "only" exception to this is if you honestly want a white Wii U.

Re: The September 13th Thread [OT]
I don't think so. Some people don't intend to go digital for retail purchases, so they have no need for 32gb of memory (which won't be near enough anyway, without an external HDD), and some people don't want Nintendo Land. Personally, I want a white Wii U, but since I also want Nintendo Land, might as well get the deluxe and deal with black, and get the extra 24gb of storage.shinriley wrote:If you're a gamer (in general) you'd have to be a freaking retard to get anything but the deluxe model. atm, it's honestly just a better choice to buy it imo. i mean nintendo land could be sold 40 or 50 alone. plus you get the stands & unannounced items. unless you really want that white one...xwatchmanx wrote:I don't think so. It's not a better a choice if you don't care about Nintendo Land or digital purchases. I mean, I'll be getting the deluxe version definitely, but that's cuz I'm interested in Nintendo Land. If I wasn't, I probably wouldn't get it.grandmasterhack wrote:

also the accessories, which I liked. hell try to buy a 3DS charging cradle. pretty expensive on it's own.... still it's a better package content wise.If you like it or not is completely up to you & your preference lol.xwatchmanx wrote:

Re: The September 13th Thread [OT]
I pre-ordered the Deluxe edition as soon as it was humanly possible. I knew this thing was going to be sold out retardedly fast, as it clearly has. Fortunately I wanted a Black version of this system and that so happened to be the one that was made into the Deluxe.
Despite that version having 32 gigs, I will be getting an external HDD for it. I will likely be buying a lot of games from the eShop. I want a lot of my Gamecube games on there. I doubt very much I will be buying an new AAA titles from there though. I prefer physical copies.

I really Don't see why people have a problem with Digital Download. Its tied to an account system so you will never lose the games. You can download them at midnight before stores are open. It gives you one place for all game content and you do not have to pick your ass up to change disk's.

It's just a preference. I like to collect physical games that aren't tied to a physical account, and that I can allow my friends to borrow.MBParadox wrote:I really Don't see why people have a problem with Digital Download. For collectors of course having them in a physical state is a must have, but most collectors are so hardcore they get multiple versions of the same game.
