Do you Guys Think the Xbox 720 is going to get More Exclusives?

Honestly, I'm not sure about the Xbox 720... the only reason I have a 360 is for all the "HD" multiplats that the Wii doesn't have. Aside from that, the only exclusives I really like are Halo and Gears of War. If Nintendo is able to hold 3rd party support with the Wii U, then I probably won't even bother with the 720...

I hope they don't make the 720 more Kinectish

Everything is better with Kinect

As I said before in one of my vids, I'm all on-board for the 720 as long as they give me some exclusives. But Microsoft actually came out a while back and said they don't care about exclusives, and their library shows that. If the 720 is just a multi-plat machine with media capabilities I have on my PC then it's a no-buy for me.

I think the main problem is that M$ overestimates Halo's popularity. Don't get me wrong, Halo is still really cool and popular, but there are so many other great shooters (and games in other genres), so games as awesome as Halo aren't as rare as they used to be. But Microsoft doesn't realize that and figures, "we already have Halo, we don't need more exclusives 'cause that'll sell the system on its own."

You think I might be on to something here?

It's because they make more money out of Call of Duty.

True, but it sells the most on there for some reason it gets viewed as a 360 title when it isn't. Not mention COD always had timed exclusive content on 360.

Somehow you messed up the quotes and made it sound like it was you that writing to yourself when you were actually writing to gamerguy. I was just saying because it is kind of confusing. If you want to reduce the number of quotes that is fine with me but "preview" your post before it is post, so it reduces confusion. lol. Must be new at the quote things. I remember when i was messing up too.

Why waste money on a exclusive, when multiplats are the ones making the dough? That's Microsoft's strategy IMO

True, but consider this: Nintendo has consistently renewed their IPs (while adding some new ones) for almost 30 years, so they have a HUGE exclusive library. I honestly believe that's a huge reason why Nintendo was able to get away with making hardware weaker than the competition with the DS and Wii. But Microsoft, since their exclusive library is lacking, has to keep up hardware wise, otherwise they lose the multiplats. You see what I mean? Nintendo can afford to make weaker hardware and lose multiplats because of their giant exclusives library, but microsoft can't.

I see Microsoft as having a place in the casual market this upcoming generation. Nintendo nearly having half and micro nearly having the other half with Sony having a small percentage. Then when it comes to hard core sort of inverse it with Sony having nearly half, Nintendo having nearly half, and then Microsoft having the smallest percentage.

I would laugh so hard if Microsoft went casual this generation with Kinect and stuff. Then Nintendo would pretty much take its place because it's going to cater to the hardcore gamer (or so Ninty says.) Sony I can't see making any big changes in their strategy though. They're gonna go all out again and probably blow it.

If all of this does happen, then WiiU will be the PS2 of next generation by a landslide. Would be cool, but yeah it probably won't happen. It would make me laugh pretty hard though.

I think I'll check out the 720 if it keeps doing what it's doing with the Halo series. Honestly it seems like every game gets better and better and that hasn't really changed. Defninitely interested in where they take that series.

How to make the 720 a success:

Drop the Kinect completely: While it's a unique little piece of equipment it has done nothing but produce mediocre to terrible games. Time to let it go Microsoft it's a failure, accept it and move forward.

Let the tight grip from Rare go: We all know the story here...sadly.

More exclusives and franchises: MechAssault, Otogi, Phantom Dust, Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Breakdown, Amped, Star Wars: Republic Commando, Stubbs the Zombie, Armed and Dangerous, Iron Phoenix...you get the picture. These few games here were just a taste of some great Xbox 1 exclusives and something the 360 lacks.

Why would they do that? Sure, it produces mediocre games, but it's selling a LOT and shows no signs of stopping. Regardless of whether it sucks or not, it's producing Microsoft a lot of money, so what motivation would they have to drop it?

Xbox is bad and they should feel bad.

However my thoughts are, that theirs going to be the same if not 2 less exclusives in retail.
