Smash Bros U [OT]
Now that we have Namco Bandai helping out with this, what are you guys expecting or wishing?
Firstly, I would like to see a much more fun Single Player Campaign. I want to see less character duplicates that don't really differ much from their counterparts, or at least make them different enough to not be redundant. I may get flak for this, But I really don't want as many Pokemon characters in there. I am afraid they they are gradually taking over with how much of that franchise is being implemented. They may as well make another Pokemon Stadium game than to overwhelm Smash Bros with it.
I am expecting more character additions, that is to be expected. But I don't want TOO many, because it will become to difficult to balance and there will be to many that are similar to each other. I definitely want to see more stages. Especially the retro ones. The Smash Balls should stay and be improved upon. Some of them are really boring, some of them are incredibly over powered.
The 3DS being apart of this is also pretty awesome.
What are your guys thoughts?

They should revamp certain characters' move-sets and play style to match their newer games. For example, I think they should get rid of Zero Suit Samus and make power suit Samus quicker and give her better melee attacks, considering her play style in Other M. Likewise, Pit needs an ENTIRE overhaul after Kid Icarus: Uprising.

lol..pac man...that aught to be interesting to see what they do with that.

I kind of want to see more Metal Gear characters this time around or at least just the addition of Grey Fox. I think Xenoblade characters would be interesting too like Shulk and Reyn

As long as snake stays.
Re: Smash Bros U [OT]
I'am probably the only one that could care less if pac man is in smash bros. I think pac man would just be generic. I think nightmare would be very fun to use however. I plus bring snake back, add shulk, and add little mac.

What the new Smash Bros. needs is the character Bayonetta. Just for the purpose of trolling the corporate slaves.

I hope they beef up the single player. Brawl's was ok, but not all that exciting. If the online is slick, easy to use, and has no lag though, I will be fine with the rest of the game Brawl was just painful to play online with other people. More original characters would be nice and less clones

You know what would really be cool? A successor to Subspace Emissary that's not only beefed up and less repetitive, but has online drop in drop out mutliplayer support. It would be really cool to play with people together online the same way you can in local in Brawl.Raider98 wrote:I hope they beef up the single player. Brawl's was ok, but not all that exciting. That would be really cool, especially since most of the Subspace Emissary I played with my friend, and he was a big reason I kept playing. I just hope that when it comes out in like 3ish years, Nintendo will be putting online co-op in their games unlike now *cough* NSMBU NintendoLand *cough*

Re: Smash Bros U [OT]
I really would love to see Simon Belmont and Amaterasu in this. Yeah they're both third party but man, Castlevania has an extremely good relationship with Nintendo. And man I'd love to play as that awesome chain whip user! Amaterasu for obvious reasons, Okami was beast and it deserves recognition!
Also we neeeeed better online! Oh my gosh Brawl's was just plain crap! And also they need to find out ways to separate the partiers or the players that gang up on you all the time. Seriously man every time I try to play Brawl online it's like 90% joke matches and troll matches. Not to mention the lag and the tiny amount of brawl types you can do. I mean really the brawl online was so abysmal.
They should also improve the stage builder. I swear I built like 100 stages in that game, was so dang fun! But really they should add stuff like the effects from the main maps. Like the lava waves from Norfair, the karts from the mario kart stage and the fish from the ice climber level. Also there needs to be more stuff we can use to build rather than boring blocks and stuff.
And yep they need to add way more characters, I say about 50 total slots would be good.

Isn't the new Smash Bros coming out sometime next year? That's what I remember hearing/reading...

Well development started right after Kid Icaurs released this year, and Smash takes a long time to develop. I wouldn't expect it until late 2014 at the earliest. There might have been a rumor that it is coming out next year, but I seriously doubt it.
