Pre-ordering Games Discussion

I honestly don't see the point of pre-ordering a game such as Black Ops 2 unless it is a limited edition or you are getting some pre-order bonus. Games like this will never sell out because Activsion know the hype behind it and supply the demand! I can see pre-ordering a console but a regular $60 dollar game, why? What are you guys opinion?

Same reason people pre-ordered the Wii U, they want it bad. If it's a game in a series you follow and love to play then when the next game comes out you just wanna make sure that you're going to get that game. And the special pre-order bonuses help too.

It actually sounds sillier to pre-order a console but no games wouldn't you think? Pre-order the thing that gives you the ability to play games but not the games themselves?

I mean it's important to get the thing to play games on but yeah I think it's just as important to pre-order games.
