Well from the pictures i've seen from the console i don't see the glow strip around the disc slot like i did on the Wii so idk. I know the Home button the gamepad does.

Maybe that's how we will recieve notifications, through the gamepad.Soxas wrote:Well from the pictures i've seen from the console i don't see the glow strip around the disc slot like i did on the Wii so idk. I know the Home button the gamepad does.

That's what I was thinking and when the Miiverse is accessible through phones that'll be another way.MBParadox wrote:Maybe that's how we will recieve notifications, through the gamepad.Soxas wrote:Well from the pictures i've seen from the console i don't see the glow strip around the disc slot like i did on the Wii so idk. It may seem like a small thing, but I really want a consistent blue glow. I love how that looks.

Yeah that was one of my favorite things about the Wii. It almost gives you the same excitement as when the green light shows up on my 3DS for SpotPassDragonChi wrote:It may seem like a small thing, but I really want a consistent blue glow. I love how that looks.

Re: Wii U Glow
Then again in the new commercials the Wii U has a glowing power button on the system itself which could be the indicator for Miiverse updates and such.Soxas wrote:Yeah that was one of my favorite things about the Wii. Re: Wii U Glow
From what I have seen so far the Home button on the Gamepad is the thing that glows. Nintendo did this to put emphasis on the Gamepad I suspect.

Re: Wii U Glow
ok, from having the system, the console itself doesn't have a "glow"
but when a new friend is added, or you have a call, the Gamepad's Home button will flash.
New friend: 2 quick flashes once.
Call from Wii U Chat: Flash until the call is unanswered/picked up.

Re: Wii U Glow
That was pretty helpful of Nintendo to differentiate them. Is there a different one for received notification?SebTH wrote:ok, from having the system, the console itself doesn't have a "glow"

Re: Wii U Glow
That's cool I guess. I would much rather have it on the system but that's fine too.SebTH wrote:ok, from having the system, the console itself doesn't have a "glow"
