How do you think will the Wii U phone app work?

I only seen it once in Nintendo Direct (in that video where Non-Specific Action Figure comes out)

You think it will just be for reading messages?

What do you guys think?

Yea, i think it'll be for reading and sending messages only. Either way, it's cool to see Nintendo finally embrace these kinds of things.

It would be awesome if your Wii U is on Standby mode, you can buy games thru the phone and it would automaticly download it while your not at home ;D

Well you have the 3ds XD. well if the 3ds will have a update for miiverse

Wait the Phone app will have video chat?

I don't know if they are one and the same thing, but that is one of the major features they have showcased. A few times.

I know it is there for gaming purposes, so it will likely work for phone as well me thinks. It would make sense.

While this isn't really an App per se, I am really interested in seeing the Wii U's Main Menu interface. I am not referring to the Mii Universe keep in mind.

I want to see and know more about the Operating System and the UI.

This was one of those things that, one would have assumed, would have been showcased at E3.

I sincerely hope it isn't. I am pretty sure it is a separate thing altogether.

It's not an app, it's browser based, so most likely, it'll be coming off a website, that you can use from any internet enabled device. I'm thinking in my mind it'll only be limited to like messages and checking Mii Verse and what not... nothing to serious, but fun indeed.

They said it at the Pre-E3 show, unless they changed it since then, which I doubt..

I think it being browser based is easier. Because you have to develops for the different mobile platforms (iOS, Android 2.x-4.x, WP7 ), then worry about the app not working right (mostly on android). It being browser based basically makes it "one size fits all" and it SHOULD run smoothly on all platforms from your PC down to your phone(unless it's a really old dumbphone).

I do agree, it would be cooler if it was an app though.

I just want Miiverse to come out now, maybe do PRE-Launch sign ups :C

What I am wondering is where you will launch applications from, Is it like on the 3ds where you launch them from the bottom screen? (or Wii U controller).

You'll be able to read messages and text chat with friends. I'm assuming.
