nintendo network/miiverse hopes

Post by antiform47 on Tue Oct 09, 2012 6:47 pm

What are you guys hoping to see happen with Nintendo's new online? Xbox live like? Wii like? All new? I personally am hoping for an original online experience with -no friend codes -profiles(that can be personalized) -accessibility to miiverse at all times via wiiU gamepad
Arrow hopefully we will find out more in terms of the online at the next nintendo press conference!

This is good topic question. I am okay with everything as long as their server don't lag or have connection issues. I'll be honest, I got a decent connection-not over the top or poor grade connection, just middle average.

I want it to be like Xbox Live...just without the yearly fee and ads.

I agree with the yearly fee. I hope the Wii U user interface is simple and not cluster like the 360 dashboard.

Nintendo loves to be minimalistic with their software and UI design. It is always simplistic and user friendly. I would not expect to see a clusterfuck dashboard. It just isn't their style.

I would really like to have the ability to make communities like MK7

I already expect it from a community standpoint to innovate, and from what they have shown they give me hope in this aspect. But alongside this I also expect them to have the bare minimum of modern network requirements: PM, public boards ( which was seen quite a while ago in some screen shots) cross game chat ( with Wii U's 2 full Gigabytes of Ram it should not be a problem), instant game invites ( already available on 3DS , I'm pretty sure they are gonna nail this one) and of course as I have already stated innovative online communities.

1 month til the launch, and we still don't know anything about the online infrastructure, or whatever you call it. Why not? confused

I'm sure by now that you have seen the Nintendo direct talking about Miiverse.
